INT. HIGH SCHOOL GROUNDS – COURT YARD – AFTER SCHOOL


DAVID sits on a bench. He looks displaced and unsettled. Enter RAINE, an acquaintance.


                RAINE
            How did it go?  You never let me know
            anything.

                DAVID
            What do you mean it?

                RAINE
            It. That thing you said was so important
            that you scurry off without a word as to
            what it was. I could have sworn you saw a
            ghost from the way you took off.

                DAVID
            What if I did?  Is it suddenly a crime to
            take off without a word?

                RAINE
            You scare people when you do that.  It makes
            people worry when they shouldn't.


David looks away apologetically. He sighs deeply and turns his head away from Raine.


                DAVID
            It wasn't a good experience. It was...

                RAINE
            It was what?

                DAVID
            It was nothing.  I'm going home. I'll see
            you tomorrow?


David gets up and leaves school grounds. Raine stares at him as he leaves.


                RAINE(VO)
            It had better not be another one of your
            selfish escapades where we end up on front page.

SCENE #2  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------


INT. HIGH SCHOOL GROUNDS – BASEBALL FIELD – TWILIGHT


David stands out in the open field. He has a bag. He sees two people coming his way and waits. Enter JAMES and KISA.

                KISA
            Did you bring it?

                DAVID
            Do I look stupid to you? Of course
            I brought it.

                KISA
            How would I know if you are stupid?
            Do I look like your mother?

                JAMES
            Children, please. If you're going to
            fight, least I can do is video tape it.
            That way I have something to show to your
            family when they wonder why David is dead.

                DAVID
            Anyway..  where are we going to set this up?
            Raine's getting pretty suspicious of this.
            Anymore sneaking away and he'll have my neck.

                KISA
            Just let us deal with the plans, you keep
            Raine out of the loop.


David looks over at Kisa oddly.


                DAVID
            Why do I have a sneaking suspicion he isn't
            going to like this.

                KISA
            Because Raine is a b-

                JAMES
            Because Raine would probably be upset if he
            found out you planned all this and not bothered
            to inform him. He'll be very difficult to deal
            with if our plans were to get out.

SCENE #3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------


TIME ELAPSES FOR THREE DAYS – CLASSROOM – 7TH PERIOD


David sits down for class. He is tired. Across the rooms sits Kisa, staring holes through him.


Enter RAINE whom is whistling a small tune.


                RAINE
            Did you enjoy your weekend locked in a
            holding cell?

                DAVID
            Why did you have to go call the police over
            something as stupid as us taking you to an
            arcade?  Its not like you were going to be
            raped and beaten.

                RAINE
            I don't like it when people grab my wrist and
            pull me into an unmarked car.  What am I supposed
            to do?  Let you have your wicked way with me?
            Isn't that what Kisa is for?


Kisa gets up from her seat and walks over to slap Raine. She succeeds and grabs the bathroom pass as she exits the room.


                RAINE
            Shut up.

                DAVID
            Whatever man, you deserved that one.

                RAINE
            So how's it feel being on the front cover
            of a newspaper?  

                DAVID
            Like you are one to talk.  The photo they
            used of you is hilarious.  Looks like some
            scared child in a horror museum.

                RAINE
            I wouldn't have looked that way if you idiots
            didn't try to kidnap me and try to take me to
            some location.


Enter James.


                JAMES
            You have to give us credit from not actually
            doing anything to you literally.  You sort of
            look like a girl sometimes.  A very pretty girl.


Raine punches James when the teacher isn't looking.


                DAVID
            Worst comes to worst and you could always become
            one. Its not like anyone would be able to tell
            the difference.


Raine punches David, but the teacher catches the scene in progress.

Raine, James and David are sent to the principals office.


                RAINE
            Why do I hang out with you people again?

                JAMES
            Because without us you'd be a poor little
            nerd whom looks like a girl.

                DAVID
            I think its because if it was any other way
            you'd die of boredom.  Think of it.. Raine
            Samielkvotica found dead in his room. Cause of
            death? Extreme boredom due to lack of friends
            that insult his gender and said “manilness”.
            Just get over it Raine. You'd be bored without us.

                RAINE
            I wouldn't be sitting here getting another stain
            on my record, that is for sure.

                JAMES
            You're just upset cause we blindfolded you
            and took you against your will.

                RAINE
            You're lucky I didn't say it was rape otherwise
            you would still be in that holding cell with
            a bond more than a couple hundred dollars.

                JAMES
            Like anyone would want to rape you.

                DAVID
            Let's not start with that again. I already
            don't like the situation as it is.

                RAINE
            These “its” are going to be the death of
             you one day.

                JAMES
            Where do you think you'll be?

                RAINE
            Hopefully no where near one of you.

                DAVID
            It could happen.

                RAINE
            Just.. shut up.
